Callum Lau is an emerging talent in Cape Town and active member of Steinitz Chess Club. In 2025 Callum achieved 3rd Place in the Western Cape Schools Chess High School Individual Provincial Championship, Representing Rondebosch Boys’ High School. His outstanding performance among the province’s top young chess talents earned him a coveted spot at the National Championships, where he will represent the Western Cape at the highest level of school chess competition in South Africa.
